Welcome to Tinta y Café. A multi-dimensional oddessy that I secretly refer to as my “muse’. Wifi is not available and they have a rule of “no laptops allowed” This encourages an organic activity that most of the population hasn’t done genuinely since the 90’s—have a conversation! I have been a regular patron since the fall of 2019. While off duty from my work rotations as a flight attendant, I would come grab a cuban coffee after I dropped by then Kindergartner off to school. I would sit there alone and watch the customers come and go—since essentially the day was mine until pick up at 2pm! Over the years, some of the strangers I would see every day on my coffee run became genuine acquaintances and some even turning into friends. The young staff became my ‘children’. The establishment and the people inside became somewhat of a family extension and a source of happiness for me. The pictures in this gallery represent many happy candid moments I have experienced over the years.
