While the movement's impact is undeniable, the contributions of these women were often overshadowed. This talk, co-presented by FIU's Wolfsonian Public Humanities Lab and leading academic departments, offers a chance to rewrite the narrative. 

Immersive education for the youth.

What I particularly loved about this series was the inspiration and education it gave my 10 year old daughter Jihan. As a burgeoning young artist she was allowed to take the journey of the various black women artists from days gone by. She was able to see their roadblocks and setbacks that they experienced only because they were women and because they were black.
